Looking for Brass Nameplates? Give Aluminum a Chance

Brass Looking Nameplates

Aluminum is the most common choice for our customers when selecting mateiral for their brand identity nameplates and emblems. Another common request is to review for a brass nameplate. When this happens, it's good to know that aluminum can also be used. Here's how.

Aluminum Can Look Like Other Metals

Aluminum is friendly for decoration to take on the appearance of other metals like brass, stainless steel and tungsten. When the requirement for a brass look comes in, a transparent brass tint over aluminum can be used. This means that the surface of the metal is no longer silver and instead takes on the golden look of brass. Fine details can be achieved with standard printing processes to give a patina or antiqued look. Screened textures and selective gloss levels can be used to add further contrast or dimension like what is seen in the image shown in this post.
