Mechanical Finishes

Mechanical finishes are surfaces in which the surface of the metal is abraded.  Standard options are brush, spin and engine turn.  The surfaces play with light creating depth and movement.  A mask is used to apply the finishes selectively to metal.  This allows for endless combinations of mechanical finishes and bright aluminum which can be further enhanced with color and texture. 

 

 

Technical Finishes

Technical finishes combine precise geometric shapes into simple and complex patterns for an endless array of options. High contrast or tone on tone looks work well with this group of finishes. Most take advantage of the metal substrate allowing the reflective surface to show though. In addition, they often use printed texture to add visual and tactile interest.

 

 

Faux Finishes

Faux finishes include woodgrains, aged metal, carbon fiber and stone finishes. Our pattern library even includes fabric and semi-precious stones finishes. Aluminum is a versatile substrate which can be used as the foundation to match virtually any surface. Movement and texture add to the realism of the finishes.

Organic finishes are a diverse category of patterns taking inspiration from nature, handcrafted surfaces and modern graphic effects.  Linear structures are popular as well as large scale graphic effects.  Random, imperfect and irregular details add interest to the surfaces which work well with the curves and openeings in complex and organic shapes used in today's designs.
