Isn't vinyl a better option than polyester for curved surfaces? My understanding is vinyl is a softer material and doesn't want to return to a flat position (memory). What are your thoughts?

Yes, vinyl is a softer material and well suited for application to curved surfaces. The advantages that polyester brings to the table are the variety of finishes (brushed, chrome, clear, etc.) and the ability to be embossed. Vinyl would be a good option if your application requires only printed decoration. If you are looking for a more decorative solution, polyester is a good option. Thanks for the comment!
