Lean Certification Training for Employees

Part of being a responsible employer is taking care to ensure that employees have knowledge and up-to-date training to be at the top of the game. For this reason Northern Engraving is using money from the Wisconsin Fast Forward grant program to take groups of employees through Lean Certification and Value Stream Mapping courses.

The employees are gaining valuable team-building, problem solving and communication skills. The groups are made up of people from all departments and facilities including sales, customer service, program management, administration, inspectors, punch press operators and factory leads. The training is led by instructors from UW-Stout and comprised of meeting one full day a week for eight weeks.
