The detail in the Chevrolet logo is created with a combination of a transparent gold tint of color and an embossed texture. Since the nameplate is positioned under the hood, it was critical to the success of the program that the part also stand up to the harsh environment which includes high temperatures and oil. The printed aluminum is protected with a clear topcoat. The nameplate is applied with an open cell foam adhesive which facilitates application to the uneven surface of the engine. |
