Inventory Control Specialist Overall Purpose of Position

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for the RAW, WIP and FG inventory.
They will oversee and perform cycle counting: review and correct transactions and work with Manufacturing to correct issues.

Inventory Control Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Maintains inventory accuracy and integrity
• Identify and communicate material shortages
• Completes variance reporting to include research and resolution
• Meets or exceeds cycle counting objectives and KPI'S each week/month
• Understand inventory consumption in the ERP system to make corrections and recommendations
• Make adjustments and corrections as needed
• Work with individuals to determine root cause of discrepancies and assist in making corrections
• Oversee monthly and year-end inventory activities

Inventory Control Specialist Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to collect data, identify problems, establish facts, draw accurate conclusions and make recommendations to resolve issues
• Mathematical Skills
• Reasoning Ability
• Attention to detail and a commitment to identifying data inaccuracies
• Effective organizational and team building skills
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel)
• Effective problem solving/root cause analysis skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Goal-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Good understanding of inventory control and ERP systems
