Etched aluminum nameplates are a cost effective option in durable product branding. Etched graphics can be filled with long-lasting color enamels or left unfilled. A standard etch is relatively shallow when compared to embossed graphics. Deep etch offers additional depth. Both options add dimension using a chemical process to etch away the surface of the metal.

This aluminum nameplate is printed to simulate an antiqued brass nameplate. A printed texture is used to add dimension to the background pattern. The Bushnell logo is embossed with a brushed brass finish.
Our designers developed concept drawings early on in this project to illustrate options in simulating the brass finish. The concept drawings help to fine tune the nameplate design in a cost effective manner before prototypes are created.
This aluminum nameplate, manufactured for Estée Lauder's Beautiful perfumed powder, pushed the boundaries of nameplate design. The Beautiful logo is embossed and printed with a transparent tint of gold. The background is enhanced with an embossed ribbing. The overall shape of the part is a slight dome with a bright gold border. The truly unique feature of this nameplate is the addition of the urethane lens to the domed background. The formed background catches the light creating highlights and shadows. The domed surface acts as a lens magnifying the details.
The Youth Dew and White Linen nameplates use the same processes creating equally beautiful parts. The three dimensional emboss on both of the logos is an eye-catching detail.

The stylish look of Moen bathroom fixtures includes product branding integrated into handle knobs. This set of three Moen nameplates illustrates the use of a multi-level emboss to create faceted details in the aluminum inserts. The multi-dimensional look is layered with a clear acrylic piece on the handle. Graphics are printed to register on all three of the nameplates.
How about both. Bright, brushed or spun aluminum is often used as a complement to chrome on products. Aluminum offers a subtle contrast against highly reflective chrome surfaces. The two substrates create a coordinated look.

eScreen Nameplate- The transparent tint of color on the metal background combines with the fact this part is formed to create natural highlights emphasized by the lens.
OcuScan Nameplate- Metallics colors always look great when combined with the doming process. A light halftone printed on bright aluminum adds dimension to the logo.

Hoyt nameplates reflect the innovation and precision in their high quality product. This design incorporates a carbon fiber finish into the background of the nameplates. Movement is added to the faux carbon fiber surface through the use of selective brushing combined with layering of transparent colors. The metal substrate is taken full advantage of with a brushed finish to complement the carbon fiber pattern.
The nameplates feature a unique use of embossing to add to the look of precision. A circular pad and graphics are embossed at the same time. The RX graphic remains at original height within the embossed pad creating a debossed look.
The Mustang GT nameplate is a classic design right at home on the engine of this legendary muscle car. The background is low gloss brushed aluminum with the GT logo embossed in bright aluminum. The design includes a multi-level emboss and deboss.
Attachment features on this nameplate are unique combining mechanical fastening with adhesive. Rivets are used for a tough look. Holes are pierced and pockets debossed for the rivets. However, if you flip the part over you see an open cell foam adhesive applied selectively to the part. This type of adhesive promotes adhesion to uneven surfaces. It is temperature and environmental resistant. The adhesive includes a polyester liner with a tear tab to aid in simplifying the assembly process.
