Manufacturing Production and Logistics Representative

Overall Purpose of Position

The Manufacturing Production and Logistics Representative acts as a liaison with customers to expedite, interpret demands and to provide manufacturing with accurate schedules to ensure department efficiencies and on time delivery to our customers. MPLR is also responsible for managing finished goods inventory to ensure that it meets internal goals and managing the plant capacity plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains a high level of customer service by providing a quick and accurate response.
  • Manages customer specific requirements, including use of customer specific databases.
  • Processes customer orders/ releases and amendments to meet delivery dates.
  • Enter new parts into Program Management and Sales Forecasting spreadsheets.
  • Follow up on job transfers to ensure customer specific requirements are being adhered to.
  • Accepts and processes expedites and change orders to the mutual satisfaction of both parties.
  • Manages customer balance out when jobs or programs are obsolete.
  • Issue shipping requirements to shop floor daily to ensure customer demands are being made.
  • Supports scheduling by opening work orders as needed.
  • Interfaces effectively with all levels of the organization and with external customers as needed.
  • Ensures that company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Back up to Shipping Clerk and Scheduler.

Skills and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • College education preferred.
  • Highly professional, and passionate about delivering the highest quality customer experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as a team.
  • Productively work with wide range of people.
  • Strong personal computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Goal-orientated and able to work under pressure.
  • Sound organizational and planning abilities.
  • Good analytical and effective problem solving skills.
  • Manufacturing and/or graphics industry experience preferred.
