Maintenance Electrical Technician Overall Purpose of Position
This is a key position in the day-to-day operations of the production floor. In this position, you will be responsible for inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. You must be a well-rounded individual who can perform troubleshooting and maintenance for a variety of manufacturing equipment as well as perform building maintenance activities for the facility.
Maintenance Electrical Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- To service manufacturing equipment in an industrial setting; performing general and electrical maintenance inspections; troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Quality check equipment regularly to ensure machines are in working order
- Create inspection and repair schedules
- Perform peer-to-peer inspections on work performed by other maintenance workers
- Train employees on proper equipment usage
- Perform computer tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Maintenance Electrical Technician Skills and Qualifications
- Hold a certificate or diploma in a related field preferred
- Completion of an apprenticeship under a professional maintenance technician is a plus
- Experience with technology maintenance required; good math and communication skills; strong critical thinking and creative skills, detail oriented and organized
- Knowledge of PLC's, light curtains, complicated and simple circuits
- Ability to run wires, bend conduit and add new circuits
- Thorough working knowledge of facility equipment, their usage, and safety procedures
- Ability to manage time and responsibility independently
